Our Affiliation with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati
Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School fully abides by all the rules and guidelines of the Archdiocese, and their Graded Course of Study. MTCES students receive the same high quality Catholic education that they would receive at a traditional parish elementary school.
Parish schools are run by a staff that reports to the parish’s pastor. Parish elementary schools have an implicit relationship with the Archdiocese by their affiliation with their parish.
Private elementary schools can also be fully recognized by the Archdiocese as a Catholic school, through a specific set of steps and requirements. In fact, a private elementary school cannot rightfully call itself Catholic, or use the term Catholic in its name, unless it specifically follows the guidelines set forth by the Office of Educational Services at the Archdiocese. The most notable requirement is that the school use the Graded Course of Study, which is the curriculum used by all parish elementary schools.
There are only three other private schools in the Cincinnati area which have this recognition. They are St. Ursula Villa, Summit Country Day and Royalmount Academy.
Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School is proud to be recognized by, and affiliated with, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
