Special Events & Fundraisers
In order to service debt accumulated from constructing the school facility, which is nearly $4,000,000, MTCES must hold a variety of fundraisers throughout the school year. This year, Development estimates that these activities, supported by the entire MTCES constituency, will generate about $135,000 towards MTCES’ fundraising goal.
- Derby Night, October 18, 2008, Sister Anne Schulz, C.PP.S. Student Center- This entertaining event consists of video horse races, side games, raffles, dinner, and, of course, mint juleps. Chairperson, Marty Grogan
- Extravaganza— March 21, 2009, Receptions Conference Centers in Fairfield- Traditionally the largest MTCES fundraiser, the 8th annual Extravaganza promises to be an evening packed with activity including a buffet dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles, and dancing. Chairperson, Christine Brown

MTCES 5K Run/Walk, Saturday, April 25, 2009, location TBD- Last year’s 1st annual event attracted
162 participants from the southwest Ohio region. Runners and walkers helped to raise over $8,000 for the Building Fund. MTCES provided them with an enjoyable morning of exercise, music, and refreshments at picturesque Voice of America Park in West Chester. Chairperson, Madison Rye
- 10th ANNUAL MTCES GOLF SCRAMBLE, TBD- Participants—as well as local celebs-- have the opportunity to play 18 holes during a morning or afternoon shotgun start; event includes lunch, unique hole contests/games, great giveaways (including a golf shirt), and a raffle. Chairperson, Rich Scott

Market Day, 2nd Tues. of every month, Student Center- This program enables MTCES families to order from a wide selection of delicious high quality foods at a value, and then donates a portion of every purchase back to the school. Co-Chairpersons, Beth Andrews and Lauren Austin
- Recycling, year round, MTCES- The MTCES community collects aluminum cans and paper at the school in return for paybacks from Rumpke and Abitibi Consolidated. Students recycle school paper in order to win the renowned blue recycling bin of champions. Co-Chairpersons, Mary Anne Gardner and Sheryl Harold
