Mother Teresa Derby Dance Party Returns

School’s Most Popular Fundraiser Features the Rusty Griswolds

Liberty Township, OH (January 7, 2016) – The 11th annual Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School (MTCES) Derby Dance sponsored by Larkin Cobb Chevrolet Buick GMC and Rose Automotive returns to the Sister Anne Schulz Student Center on Saturday, January 16, 2016. The event, which brings non-stop entertainment to guests in the form of broadcast horse races, gaming tables, raffles, food, and drink, will feature the live music of The Rusty Griswolds. Most importantly, Derby will raise over $15,000 for the school’s educational programs, technology upgrades, and current building expansion.

Tickets are $35/person and are available for purchase online at www.mtces.org. “People come from all over our region to attend this huge party,” explained Jason Clarke, event chairperson. “You can’t beat the value we offer with a Rusty Griswolds performance, raffles, races, and food and drinks.” Guests can also take advantage of the registration site to purchase VIP tables and raffle tickets. Tables have been selling quickly.

The Rusty Griswolds have been performing since 1999, bringing energy as only they can to the best music of the 80s. With a huge regional following, the Griswolds have been voted Best Party/Cover Band by the readers of Cincinnati Beat magazine for nine years. “Mid-January is a great time of year to host this fundraiser,” commented school Principal, Sr. Anne Schulz. “The holiday rush has passed and cabin fever has set in. What a great way to lift your spirits while helping a growing school at the same time!”

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with The Rusty Griswolds taking the stage at 9:00 p.m. The event concludes at 1:00 a.m. Sponsorship opportunities are available and provide excellent exposure to a constituency who regularly shops, dines, and uses services in the Cincinnati-Dayton region. Detailed information about sponsorships is available at http://www.mtces.org/news/derby-dance.

MTCES is one of only three independent, private Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The School, which opened in 1998 to 20 kindergartners in the basement of a church, now serves 465 students in grades K-8 on its 25-acre campus in Liberty Township. In response to the region’s demand for Catholic education, MTCES is in the midst of a building expansion that will house 16 classrooms and create dedicated spaces for a library, Spanish and art instruction, tutoring services, and an expanded kindergarten. MTCES will have 125 openings in Fall 2016.
