MTCES Tuition
The cost of educating a child in the Catholic Church is largely the same for all Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. By far, the majority of this cost goes toward paying teacher salaries, and reflects the student to teacher ratio at any given school. The cost of teacher and administrative salaries together can easily take up 80% of tuition income. It may not be well known that teachers in the Catholic school system are paid far less than teachers in the public school system. Catholic school teachers accept this as a sacrifice in the Catholic faith as they know and understand the importance of educating your child Catholic. Another point to consider is that the cost of educating a student in the public school system in Ohio is anywhere from $4,000 to $12,000 per year.
Tuition for the 2008-2009 school year at Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School is $3,480 per child. This may seem high compared to parish elementary schools, but parishes sometimes provide a stipend to parishioners attending their school. Being a private school, we have no direct parish affiliation, meaning your tuition is not supplemented in the way it would be at a parish school. However, tuition assistance may still be available from your parish. Please contact the school for details.
