MTCES Family Volunteerism
It is well known that no school can survive without the gracious support of volunteers. Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School is no different. If we had to employ all the services we need to make this school run efficiently, it would be financially impractical, and the costs would be borne by you in the form of higher tuition. Aside from the financial aspect, volunteers bring another critical element into the picture - a sense of community spirit. We feel this is important enough that we have made it a fundamental element of our admissions policy. We do this not to force parents to become involved, but to encourage it. We do it not for you to build communion with the school, but for you to build communion with your child’s education and development. Study after study has shown that the more a parent is involved in a child’s education, the better that child develops and grows. This is the spirit of volunteerism, a spirit that mirrors the selfless attitude of Mother Teresa herself. And this is the spirit in which your child will grow in the full faith and formation of the Catholic Church.
