Extended Care is an afterschool program offered to parents to provide after school care for students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. Extended Care is offered Monday through Friday from 2:20 until 6:00 pm and takes place in school at MTCES.

For the 2023 – 2024 school year, there will be a $25.00 registration fee per family to take part in the Extended Care program. A student information sheet is also required for each student attending Extended Care. We will continue to use weekly Google Forms for families to sign up their child(ren). The Google Forms link will be posted in the Tuesday e-folder with the following week’s link. The link will close on each Sunday so please sign up by then to let us know your plans for the following week. Please note, you will also need to update the PickUp Patrol app to let the school know the plan for your child(ren) after school. Extended Care staff uses the Google Forms and the office staff uses the PickUp Patrol app, requiring you to sign up your child(ren) in two places. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Families participating in Extended Care will be charged $5.25 per hour per child. Please note that there is a minimum charge of $5.25 per day. If a student attends Extended Care less than one hour, they will be charged for the full hour. You will be charged in 30 minute increments after the initial hour. If a family has four or more children in Extended Care on a given day, they will only be charged for 3 students per day. Any additional children will not be charged.

Each student is provided one peanut free snack per day at Extended Care. Snacks are generally chips, pretzels, rice crispy treats, Goldfish, Oreos, etc. You are welcome to send an alternate snack for your child, especially if your child has allergies. We ask that each child bring a water bottle, labeled with their name, each day.

All students must be picked up no later than 6:00 pm. If a student is picked up between 6:00 pm and 6:15 pm, they will be charged for the full hour. If a student is picked up after 6:15 pm, there will be a charge of $50. A reminder will be emailed to the parents once the student has been picked up late three times. Once a student has been picked up after 6:00 pm four times, the student will not be allowed to return to Extended Care until a meeting with Extended Care and MTCES administrators has taken place.
